Here are a few shots taken by a digital camera (hence the detail) taken three years after I made the first earring. The wire and post are sterling, and there is an actual sapphire in there. The body is a Japanese six-in-one pattern arranged to fall into a teardrop shape (picture 1). The small silver chain that connects the post to the backing (picture 2) is so it can't be lost by an guy (ie Fitz). It measures about an inch from the post to the bottom hoop, and the stone is 6 mm in diameter. The larger rings are slightly over 4mm, and the smaller ones around 2mm. The first one I made is slightly smaller, with the larger rings about 3mm, the smaller ones perhaps 1.5mm, and the stone measuring about 4 mm in diameter.
