Miraba was created in 1997 by the person who runs this webpage. Miraba was originally created as an "original character" (Can you say "self-insert," kids?) for an online game called The Realm, but it soon morphed into something of an online alias for Miraba's creator's evil, perverted, and generally sarcastic and sadistic side, although she does have the occasional moment of fuzzy fangirlism. If Miraba and her creator were locked together in a room, Miraba's creator would quickly throttle her. Or, at the very least, knock her lights out.

Miraba is an active member of Willem's Robin Hobb message board and really will return to the official boards. On Willem's board, Miraba was randomly dubbed Mirry, though she's also called Mirri or Miri, depending on who's mispelling it, and her profession is "High Priestess of Hobb" (thanks, Keppet and Newboy). Mirry also has a presence on number of Yahoo groups, though you're less likely to find her there.

Miraba's creator now has a small section about herself. To do that, replace the "about" in the page address with Miraba's creator's real name. So, if you decide that this person's real name is Mary Sue, the address should read http://www.miraba.net/marysue.html. And yes, it is somewhere on the webpage, if you have too much free time and/or are stalking her.
